We are a locksmith business based in Kendal, Cumbria and serving the wider area with over 30 years experience fitting locks and extra security devices.
We also repair problematic doors and windows. Often not fixing problems sooner rather than later can result in extra expense, and even the inconvenience of being able to secure the property, or unable to gain entry, often at the most inconvenient time!
Also if you find yourself locked out from your property, whether as a result of losing your keys, door shutting on latch behind you or key breaking in lock, we can gain access in most cases without causing any unnecessary damage or expense.
You may also want to use our service if you are moving house and are unsure if there are any outstanding keys for the property. We can change the locks to give you peace of mind, and fit additional security to protect you and your property.
We operate a 24/7 out of normal working hours service for emergencies.
All work and materials carry a 12 month guarantee against failure.

Frequently Asked Questions
YES, you will need to notify your landlord, letting agent or housing association BEFORE we can attend. We CAN NOT gain access or change locks without their permission. They must contact us with their PERMISSION for us to gain entry to the property or change locks if necessary. This can be done by a phone call or text to 07732 110342 leaving a name and contact number. We will contact them back for more details. Once we are satisfied we have the correct information to proceed, we will attend as soon as possible. Sorry, no permission, no attendance.
Even if you own the property, we will need to see some photo I.D. and a utility bill before we leave the property. We understand you may not have I.D. on your person, but you will need to provide this to us once we gain access to the property.
It’s a criminal offence to solicit the services of a locksmith for gaining access into a property for which you have no authority or Lawful rights of entry.
In the majority of cases there will be no damage in gaining entry. However sometimes it may be necessary to to drill a lock, which will require you to purchase a new one. We carry replacements at a competitive price.
